This sticky will contain the updated current terms of use and registration agreement. Any updates to the agreement will also be made here, so when you see this thread has been updated, please take a minute to go through the changes.

Registering on InsideCalgary.com requires that you read the following registration agreement, and agree to its terms. Most of these are common sense, but please do take a few minutes to read through it.

1. You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International or Canadian law.

2. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material.

3. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are forbidden on this forum.

4. Note that it is impossible for the staff or the owners of this forum to confirm the validity of posts. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the posted messages, and as such, are not responsible for the content contained within. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information presented.

5. The posted messages express the views of the author, and not necessarily the views of this forum, its staff, its subsidiaries, or this forum's owner. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify an administrator or moderator of this forum immediately. The staff and the owner of this forum reserve the right to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if they determine that removal is necessary. 8. You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another person except an administrator, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another person's account for any reason. We also HIGHLY recommend you use a complex and unique password for your account, to prevent account theft.

9. After you register and login to this forum, you will be able to fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information the forum owner or staff determines to be vulgar or unacceptable will be removed, with or without prior notice. Appropriate sanctions may be applicable.

10. Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement. Also note that the software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser's cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer.

11. Your IP, user name, email address, or any other information that is collected from your use of this forum will never be intentionally disclosed to any third party for the purposes of marketing any products or services. Although a formal privacy policy is not in place yet (we are wrking on one) rest assured that your information will be protected to the best of our ability.

The Operating Principals PROVIDE NO WARRANTIES and explicitly disclaims any and all liability for results arising out of actions based on Content published on this site. The Operating Principals explicitly disclaims any and all liability for results arising out of the availability, or non availability of The Website. IN NO EVENT WILL THE OPERATING PRINCIPALS BE LIABLE TO ANYONE OR ANY OTHER THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOST PROFITS OR MONIES ARISING OUT OF ANY EVENT WHATSOEVER, EVEN IF THE OPERATING PRINCIPALS HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. All users (including yourself) further hereby release The Operating Principals from any and all liability or claim that may arise at any point in the future for any matter whatsoever, and agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Operating Principals for any losses, costs, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys. fees and court costs) arising out of any claims, suits or proceedings.

13. You accept and acknowledge that these or other terms may be modified at any time, and that it is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of and comply with, at all times any terms and policies that are in place. Such changes in policy will be posted in the appropriate sections on the site, and you accept that it is reasonable to expect that you will ensure that you will keep up to date with and comply with the policies.
